WPT's Annual Auction Invites Viewers to Bid on a Variety of Items

Wisconsin Public Television’s (WPT) annual live Auction — Wednesday, June 1 through Sunday, June 5 — offers great deals on variety of goods and services from individuals and businesses.

The WPT Auction features special theme night items plus articles of a general nature with offerings suited to every budget and taste. Articles up for bid include art, jewelry, vacations, things for home and businesses, gardening tools and equipment, sports tickets and equipment, and items for families and children.

The WPT Auction broadcast schedule is as follows:
7 p.m.–midnight       Wednesday, June 1   Sports Night
7 p.m.–midnight       Thursday, June 2      Home Improvement & Garden Night
7 p.m.–midnight       Friday, June 3           Entertainment & Personal Luxuries
4-7 p.m.                      Saturday, June 4     Kids’ Corner

10 p.m.-midnight      Saturday, June 4       Marketplace

7–11 p.m.                   Sunday, June 5        Auction Showcase

Viewers can watch a preview the Auction Showcase items at 9 p.m. Friday, May 27, 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 29 and 6 p.m. Sunday, June 5.

This year’s Commemorative Artist is Mikel Kelley of Mount Horeb. His unique ceramic pieces will be available throughout the Auction. Artwork from other artists and antiques items also will be available every day.

The WPT Auction is one of the largest community fundraising events in the state. Proceeds support WPT programs, outreach initiatives and events that serve to enrich the Wisconsin community.

Friends of WPT organizes the auction as part of its role as the citizen-support group for WPT in south-central Wisconsin.

WPT is a service of the Educational Communications Board and the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
