Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation President Jim Holte discusses how trade disputes affect farmers in Wisconsin. He says he is encouraged that there is some positive movement, but with regards to the $12 billion aid package the president recently proposed says "we'd rather have trade than aid." He says the tariffs have hit dairy producers the hardest, whose product has a shorter shelf life.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tony Evers sits down to discuss his bid to unseat incumbent Gov. Scott Walker. Evers criticizes Walker on prisons, saying "the buck is stopping elsewhere" with Walker and that he will "be a governor that listens to the people." He also advocates bolstering Wisconsin’s road infrastructure, calling it a safety issue rather than a political issue.

UW-Madison marketing professor Tom O'Guinn breaks down the messaging behind them and how effective they are at swaying voters. He says campaigns are transitioning away from TV ads and toward highly targeted marketing on the internet.

The poll's director Charles Franklin breaks down the numbers, a little more than six weeks ahead of the election. Franklin says voters are still getting acquainted with the candidates, which is why some have yet to make up their minds.

Lending their insight to race are Bill McCoshen of Capitol Consultants, and Scot Ross of One Wisconsin Now. In the TV ad blitz, Ross says Gov. Scott Walker's negativity is a sign of desperation. McCoshen says however, the Walker campaign is controlling how independents are introduced to Tony Evers.
