Croquembouche On a Rainy Day A traditional croquemboche (though miniature), but sugar work on a rainy day is always an adventure. Kind of a mess, actually. However, it brought back lots of memories of "burning sugar" the summer my brother and I were home alone, still too young to get jobs, and therefore up to mischief at home! Mom now knows these stories and is very glad we never burned the house down. I miss you, Jake.

Tell us about your creation's final texture after baking. Are you happy with it?

Texture of caramelized sugar on a day with 100% humidity ain't great (to say the least).

Detail how you added a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or presentation.

Wisconsin cream, eggs. I made two of these choux things, so I decided to enter 'em both. Why not?
