Girl Scout Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Tell us about your proudest moment — or humble failure — in this week’s baking challenge.

My 13-year-old daughter and I enjoy baking together. My husband loves peanut butter pie and he likes it when we try new recipes to find the perfect pie. He really liked this one since it is like eating a peanut butter cup. The recipe went together very nicely and we didn't have any problems. Both of my daughters are in Girl Scouts so we like to try to find ways to use Girl Scout cookies. Crushed shortbread cookies with butter makes a really good crust.

Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.

We used Girl Scout shortbread cookies from my daughter's Wisconsin Girl Scout troop for the crust instead of Oreo cookies. We used Wisconsin heavy cream for the chocolate ganache shaped Wisconsin. We placed a snowflake sprinkle for the location of Green Bay, where we live, and for all the snow that we get here.
