Dear Quilting Teachers:

We welcome you to participate in Quilt Expo—a joint venture of Wisconsin Public Television and Nancy Zieman Productions™, Thursday through Saturday September 11, 12, & 13, 2008. The Quilt Expo will be held in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.

Each day, there will be one-hour lectures, three-hour sit & sew machine workshops, and three-hour hands-on workshop opportunities. As a quilt teacher, we invite you to submit proposals for possible lectures or workshops to be offered during this three-day event. Please complete and return the Lecture and/or Sit & Sew Workshop proposal forms by December 1, 2007. (Acrobat Reader is required to view these documents. Don't have Acrobat Reader? • Teacher Selection: The Quilt Expo selection team will review all proposals. Each proposal will be given the most careful consideration, but we cannot guarantee every proposal a time slot. Selection of classes will be made by April 1, 2008. You will be notified by mail with the status of class selections.

• Teacher Fees: Quilt Expo will pay teachers $200 for each one-hour lecture taught or $300 for each 3-hour workshop taught.

• Assistants: Quilt Expo will provide one assistant per classroom to help with setup and assist during the class.

• Audio Visual Equipment: Each lecture room will be equipped with microphone, demonstration tables (2), and electrical outlets. Quilt Expo will provide, upon request, slide projectors/screens. Teachers must provide their own laptop and projection equipment, and/or quilt hanging equipment, if needed.

• Selling of Books/Supplies in the Classrooms: Quilt Expo encourages each teacher to work in cooperation with a booth vendor to sell products.

• Complimentary Passes: Each quilt instructor will be given two complimentary general admission passes to the Quilt Expo.
