The son of Holocaust survivors, Lev Raphael was haunted by his parents' suffering and traumatic losses under Nazi rule. He appears at the 2009 Wisconsin Book Festival to discuss his book "My Germany: A Jewish Writer Returns to the World His Parents Escaped," a personal account of his pilgrimage to his parents' meeting place.
