Greenland Dairy notified 75 Wisconsin farmers Sunday they won't continue buying their milk. The decision stems from new tariffs from Canada on a product called "ultra-filtered milk" that's used to make cheese. Losing business in Canada forced the company to cut back on the amount of product they purchase in the U.S.

State Senate Minority Leader Sen. Jennifer Shilling, D-La Crosse, opposes a bill that would loosen regulations on high powered wells in the state. Under the bill, the DNR would not have oversight on the wells if they’re repaired, replaced or the property is sold. That measure passed the state Senate this week.

Fitzgerald also spoke on the struggle to come to a consensus on transportation funding in the state budget.

Gov. Scott Walker has proposed giving extra money to rural school districts with a sparse number of students per square mile. But districts like Adams-Friendship, in rural areas but with more than 1,000 students, might not see as much funds as others. Kim Kaukl is the executive director of the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance.

Professor Charles Franklin is the director of the Marquette Law School Poll. This week's poll found President Donald Trump with a 41 percent approval rating with registered voters in Wisconsin. This is the first Marquette poll since Trump won Wisconsin in November's presidential election.

UW-Madison men's basketball team faces off against University of Florida Friday in a Sweet Sixteen game against University of Florida Friday. The team had an upset win against the first-seed Villanova this week.
