The Great British Baking Show has Tudor Week, so naturally, The Great Wisconsin Baking Challenge has Wisconsin Week!

There are plenty of opportunities to add a Wisconsin twist to your creation — and this challenge, that twist is more important than ever. This is a week to showcase your Wisconsin pride! 

 

Week 8: Wisconsin Week Challenges

You only need to select one to participate.

Signature Challenge — Mini Pies
Make mini pies of any flavor! Presentation is key here: The pies have to be individually made, but the key is to be creative in your display. In addition to selecting your flavors, bonus "points" for anyone who adds a Wisconsin touch to their arrangement!

Technical Challenge — Jumble Biscuits
These are traditional, intricately shaped (typically shaped into Celtic knots) Tudor biscuits that contain mace, anise and caraway. We encourage you to find a traditional Jumble recipe, but use your local ingredients and creativity to make it a Wisconsin original!
 
Showstopper Challenge — 3-D Marzipan Centerpiece
Yes, really! If you are feeling ambitious, this is the challenge for you! Your marzipan must be made from scratch, and your centerpiece must be entirely edible; the rest is up to you. This is a great opportunity to let your creativity shine!

How to participate in The Great Wisconsin Baking Challenge: 

Each week, we’ll issue three baking challenges based on the upcoming new episode of The Great British Baking Show — this way you’ll have a chance to test yourself against the show's contestants as you watch. However, you will only have to select one of our three challenges to bake. Then we'd like you to add a "Wisconsin twist" to your recipe or decoration. Be creative!
 
Once you have completed your challenge, we'll want you to share your baking story with us by filling out our form that will appear on this page between July 31 and August 20. We will review all the baker submissions and publish them here. And each week, we'll select six people as our Featured Bakers! Don't worry. We're not judging your creations. We just want you to have some fun in the kitchen this summer by trying some new recipes and adding a Wisconsin touch!
 
Special Note:
Due to the WPT Summer Pledge Drive, the next episode of The Great British Baking Show will not air on the WPT Flagship Channel until August 20. That means that this challenge will go on for three weeks! (We had to give you time away from our baking challenge to take a vacation after all!)
