Pijani Saran (Drunken Carp)

"Don't drive after enjoying this meal!"

1 whole carp, about 3 lbs.
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. onion, finely chopped
2 T. chopped garlic
1/4 c. oil
2 c. white wine
paprika

Heat oven to 350 F. Wash and clean carp, leaving it whole. Season with salt. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Stuff the fish with the onion and garlic. Spread oil all over fish (or dip fish in the oil) and sprinkle with pepper. Place the fish in a deep baking dish and bake 45-60 minutes. While the fish is baking, baste frequently with the wine. Garnish with paprika before serving.
