Today marks an exciting moment as Wisconsin Public Television officially unveils our new name and logo —PBS Wisconsin.

We are excited by this new opportunity to better connect our essential local programs, in-school education work, and community engagement with the well-known and well-trusted brand of PBS, a strong partner of our work here in Wisconsin for 50 years.

This new brand is the most recent evolution in our proud history of serving Wisconsin residents with essential public television since the sign on of WHA-TV in Madison in 1954. A network of stations across the state was developed in the 1970s, expanding access to our free, educational television to the boundaries of our state. Together those stations became Wisconsin Public Television in the 1980s.

Now as PBS Wisconsin, our name has changed, but our commitment to telling the stories of our state, providing free and universal access to the best educational resources, and connecting our communities through innovative engagement opportunities is stronger than ever.

Starting today, you will see the new brand appear in our on-air and digital spaces at pbswisconsin.org, as well as within the national PBS content that you enjoy.
