PBS Kids Get Up and Go Day!!!

PBS Kids Get Up and Go Day is just over a week away and we've got lots of fun planned for you and your kids!  Join us in Madison, Eau Claire, LaCrosse, Keshena, and the Fox Valley or watch live on WPT from 10am-12pm on Friday, August 2!  You'll get to meet some of your favorite PBS Kids characters, do yoga, karate, learn about outdoor adventure opportunities in your area, and so much more!  All the details are available here.

This is the 15th Get Up and Go Day hosted by WPT.  Then called "Kid Central, the first event was held on August 1, 1997 to launch WPT's Ready to Learn project.  The special guests were Arthur and Lamb Chop of Lamb Chop's Play-Along, and about 100 people attended.  The event has grown exponentially since then, and last year's Get Up and Go Day was attended by more than 2,000 people!  The photo shows the crew for the first event- These days it takes more than 150 staff, volunteers and partners to make Get Up & Go happen! We hope to see you there!
