Discover the Forest

Here in Wisconsin, we are lucky enough to have 66 state parks and 13 state forests, as well as a 1.5 MILLION acre national forest!  Have you explored any of them with your family?  No matter how you like to explore the outdoors, Wisconsin's parks and forests have something for everyone.

Learn more about creatures of the North American forest with the Wild Kratts.   The Cat in the Hat has activities to help your family learn more about birds, explore your senses like a nocturnal animal, explore flowers and more!  This Sid the Science Kid clip is all about little creatures in the forest.  There are lots of ways to incorporate your kids' love of PBS Kids into their outdoor exploration!

Check out DiscovertheForest.org for more ideas and to find a park or forest near you!
