Choosing a Preschool

It may be hard to believe when we look out at our frozen state, but in some communities it is time to start thinking about next autumn!  Many preschools start registering students for the fall in January and February.  If you have a child who will be starting preschool next year, it can be overwhelming to look at the many options and varieties of preschools available.  PBS Parents has articles on Choosing a Preschool or Childcare Center and one on Comparing Preschool Philosophies.  Preschool is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, but many studies show that attending some kind of preschool offers lifelong benefits.

The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families also offers resources to help you choose a child care or preschool provider.
