Oil-Free Garlic Mustard Pesto

4 cups packed garlic mustard leaves
1 cup packed fresh basil
2 medium cloves garlic
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 to 1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste


Steam garlic mustard just until tender and bright green. Put garlic mustard, basil and garlic in a blender or food processor, and purée until smooth. Transfer to a warm bowl and add the Parmesan, and enough water to thin to the desired consistency. Serve on pasta, steamed vegetables, baked potatoes or baked fish.
