Iced Tea with Cinnamon Basil

2 quarts water
3 Tbsp. black tea or 4 teabags
About 3 cups cinnamon basil leaves
1/4 to 1/3 cups sugar
1 orange, halved and thinly sliced
Sprigs of cinnamon basil for garnish


Bring the water to a boil and remove from heat. Add black tea and cinnamon basil leaves. Stir in sugar if desired. Let the infusion cool to room temperature and strain it into a pitcher. Add orange slices and refrigerate until cold. Serve over plain or cinnamon basil ice cubes. Garnish glasses with a slice of orange and a sprig of cinnamon basil.
