Carmelized Onion

6 large, sweet onions
3 Tbsp. oil


In a heavy-bottom stock pot over medium heat, sauté onions in oil until they start to become soft and get a little color. Turn heat down and stir occasionally until onions become a golden color, and break down to become mushy. Any unused onions will freeze very well. Use instead of tomato sauce on any pizza.
