WPT’s June "Director's Cut" Showcases Independent Filmmakers and Their Films

Wisconsin Public Television’s (WPT) June Director’s Cut, airing 10 p.m. Fridays, showcases interviews with independent filmmakers followed by a presentation their film at 10:30 p.m. on Director’s Cut Presents.
On Friday, June 7, Director’s Cut features an interview with director, writer and actor Greg Glienna about his film “Meet the Parents,” the film that was remade into the Hollywood blockbuster starring Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.
On Friday, June 14, Director’s Cut talks with director Marc Kornblatt and three of the people featured in his film “Street Pulse.” The documentary follows Madison’s homeless as they struggle to find food, a job, a place to live and a future.
On Friday, June 21, Director’s Cut sits down with the co-directors/producers of “The Smart Ones,” Kyle Probst and Travis Torok. Their film is a comedy about graduate students who rob houses to pay for tuition.
On Friday, June 28, Director’s Cut interviews director JJ Kelley and editor Ben Gottfried about their film “Go Ganges!” In the film, two friends test their skills on an epic adventure down India's sacred river. Battling unimaginable hardships, they test their limits on the planet's most populated, polluted and holy river.
