New Film from Wisconsin Public Television Offers an Aerial View of Wisconsin's Landscapes

Viewers across Wisconsin will get a bird's-eye view of the state when Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) premieres its newest film, Wisconsin From the Air, 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1 in a statewide broadcast on WPT and Milwaukee Public Television.

Featuring stunning aerial photography, Wisconsin From the Air is a 60-minute film that lofts viewers high above the state for a breathtaking journey over our treasured landscapes. The program showcases Wisconsin like never before, covering the entire state from La Crosse to Milwaukee and from northern forests to southern landmarks — all from above.

Filmed over the course of one week in September 2013, Wisconsin From the Air marks the first time that WPT has taken to the skies to create a feature-length production. The film includes narration by actor James DeVita and an original score composed by Janesville resident Matthew Hollingsworth.

WPT is hosting free premiere film screenings in markets throughout Wisconsin this month. The film will make its broadcast premiere 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, with encore airdates scheduled throughout December on WPT.

Funding for Wisconsin From the Air is provided by Kwik Trip, Holiday Vacations, Ron and Colleen Weyers, and Friends of Wisconsin Public Television.
