Wisconsin Public Television’s (WPT) live televised Auction is an annual tradition that invites viewers to take part in the fun, and become the winning bidder on merchandise and services from local businesses and individuals. The Auction also will be live streamed at auction.wpt.org on the Web.
At 7 p.m. Friday, May 31, Sports Night offers a chance to bid on sports and recreation items that include 2013 Badger Football season tickets, a Brian Bulaga signed Packer football, tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters in Milwaukee, tickets to a the Milwaukee Brewers vs. the St. Louis Cardinals, registration for the Color Me Rad 5K Race in Madison, memorabilia from sports teams across the state and more.
At 7 p.m. Saturday, June 1, Travel Night is an opportunity to bid on a variety of packages that include a Michigan family fun package, two nights at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa in Tucson, Ariz., a Lake Superior getaway at Old Rittenhouse Inn, a Mississippi River cruise, and a romantic getaway at the Radisson Hotel in La Crosse.
At 7 p.m. Sunday, June 2, Auction Showcase is the time to bid on a variety of items valued at $1,500 or more. Offerings include A trip to New York City, 2013 UW Football tickets, a Panasonic 55-inch 3-D TV, a spa package at Sundara Inn & Spa, a diamond pendant, a two-night stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, a Carrier central air conditioner and an Owen Gromme bronze sculpture.
Art items will be available throughout the Auction including prints of 2013 Commemorative Artist James Gill’s photograph “Spring Forest, Gallistel Woods.”

The WPT Auction is one of the largest community fundraising events in the state. Proceeds support WPT programs, outreach initiatives and events that serve to enrich the Wisconsin community.
Friends of WPT organizes the auction as part of its role as the citizen-support group for WPT in south-central Wisconsin.
WPT is a service of the Educational Communications Board and the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
