Wisconsin Public Television Invites Viewers to Gather "Around the Farm Table" for a Food and Farming Adventure that's Uniquely Wisconsin.
Around the Farm Table, a new four-part series produced in Wisconsin, premieres 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 on Wisconsin Public Television and Milwaukee Public Television.
Hosted by fourth-generation organic dairy farmer Inga Witscher, the series offers viewers an intimate look at Wisconsin's farming landscape by shining a spotlight on Midwestern farmers and artisan food producers.
"We believe there's untold joy in food production," says series producer Joe Maurer. "The show is designed to uplift our understanding of sustainable farming practices through stories, recipes and information all delivered with a dose of fun, entertainment and original music."
Inga Witscher's knowledge and disarming charm gets even the quietest farmers to join in the conversation. In each episode, viewers follow Inga as she seeks out the best ingredients the region has to offer and gathers what she needs to produce a meal that celebrates our landscape and our appetites.
Around the Farm Table airs Thursdays throughout November. Visit wpt.org for additional broadcast information, links to recipes and, beginning November 7, full episodes streaming online.
