Throughout the month of April, Wisconsin Public Television celebrates Earth Day with viewing selections that bring awareness to environmental issues and encourage respect for the planet.

 At 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, America Revealed “Food Machine Explores how the American food machine keeps nearly 300 million Americans fed every day.

 At 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, America Revealed “Nation on the Move ventures behind the scenes of America’s massive transportation system.

At 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time features highlights from Leopold’s life and career that explain how he shaped conservation in the 20th century.

At 9 p.m. Friday, April 20, Independent Lens "Revenge of the Electric Car" looks at the return of the electric car after many were destroyed in 2006.

At 9:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22, Energy Quest USA offers inspiring stories from citizens who’ve made energy choices based on economics and the environment.

At 10:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22, Food Forward shares compelling stories and inspired solutions envisioned by food rebels across America.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 Nature “River of No Return” takes viewers on a romantic adventure that becomes something much greater in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness.

At 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, “Electric Nation Helps viewers understand what is required to keep America’s modern electric power grid up and running.

At 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, Powering the Planet takes a look at how nations and communities are finding sustainable energy solutions.
